31. Cheaper than a new chair.

    After reading reviews on new office chairs about how the cushions do not hold up I decided to fix my 10 plus year old chair that had no problems with the seat instead of replacing it. The base fits like a glove and is made better than the original base.

    replace inferior 4 prong base; flipped out of these castered chair all the time...replaced with the five prong base solved the problem....want to sue the manufacture for producing dangerous chairs!

    Excellent for my needs! I used it to replace an OEM plastic base that was 10+ years old and in rough shape both due to use (400#+ man) and multiple salvage attempts by me. This new base provides the exact cure for my ailing chair and will provide many more yeas of use.

    My office chair had a 5-point black plastic base that cracked and was no longer usable. I ordered a 28" cast aluminum, black 5-point base (s4180-2) from chairpartsonline.com and received it within a few days. I removed the casters from the old base, popped them into the replacement base, inserted the support cylinder (still attached to the chair) and ta da! I'm a big guy (350+) and the new base is a perfect fit that's worth every penny!
