   The gas cylinder on my HON office chair that I have in my home office went bad. I got a replacement from another vendor that did not rise enough. I ordered the S4451-K from Chairpartsonline. It works and is sized perfectly.

   This little kit had everything needed to repair an expensive Herman Miller office chair that otherwise would have been thrown away.

9. Humanscale wanted to sell me an entire new base

   One day, the piston from my chair lift suddenly lost all restraint and dragged On the carpet. I emailed Humanscale: “can this be fixed? Or do I have to replace the cylinder?”. They said “well, we can sell you a new cylinder, but because they were redesigned, you’ll also have to replace the chair base…$$$”..
   Then I searched and found this kit at Chairpartsonline. It worked perfectly. For hundreds less. Easy to install, and it looks better made than the original plastic part that broke.

    Strut hardware kit saved me from having to spend hundreds of dollars to replace my chair. It's as good as new now !
